DPRK Experiences Heavy Rainfall

| Pyongyang, July 10 (KCNA) -- Heavy rain, caused by rainy front gaining momentum in the central part of the Korean Peninsula, has swept through Pyongyang and Nampho cities, South Phyongan, North Hwanghae and South Hamgyong provinces and some areas of Kangwon Province, starting Tuesday night. According to data available, it rained 157 mm in Hoechang County, 149 mm in Sangwon County and 140 mm in Pyongyang City from 18:00 Tuesday to 12:00 Wednesday. There are reportedly more than 30 localities with over 100 mm rainfall up till now. Sukchon County witnessed 56 mm rainfall from 00:00 to 03:00 Wednesday, Hoechang County 84 mm, Pyongyang City 73 mm, Sungho County 68 mm, Yangdok County 65 mm and Onchon County 58 mm from 03:00 to 06:00 and Munchon City 44 mm from 07:00 to 08:00. |
