The group held a press conference outside the base of Combat Flying Corp No. 1 of the U.S. Air Force.

At the conference speakers deplored that the upkeep for the U.S. forces in south Korea is steadily increasing to surpass a trillion won.

They urged the "government" authorities to clearly know that to repeal a special agreement on sharing the upkeep of the U.S. forces is a starting point for putting an end to the humiliating relations with the U.S.

The eastern team of the march group held rallies for peace against war on the same day together with members of civic and public organizations in the region outside military bases in Pusan.

At the rallies speakers termed the U.S. forces an obstacle in the way of peace on the Korean Peninsula.

Underscoring the need to put an end to the vicious cycle of the war crisis through the conclusion of a peace treaty, they called upon broad spectrum of people to pool their efforts for peace and reunification.
