The commentary accused the prosecution of mulling putting in custody the assistant secretary general of the organization just three days later though he had been released on July 9 for the suspension of the execution of the detention due to the death of his mother.

Far from expressing sympathy and condolence to the bereaved family, the prosecution committed such rash action to touch off irrepressible resentment at it, the commentary charged, and went on:

What the members of the organization have done can never be incriminated. We can never tolerate the moves of the regime and the anti-reunification conservative forces to detain them and use them for meeting their sinister political purpose.

The commentary urged the authorities to unconditionally release the illegally detained members of the organization.

The organization will carry on its actions against the anti-reunification acts of the conservative forces pursuing confrontation with compatriots in violation of the north-south joint declaration, the commentary concluded.
