Andres Gasca Sanchez, chairman of the Mexican Friend Association for Memory of President Kim Il Sung and General secretary Kim Jong Il in a lecture said that Kim Il Sung founded the Juche idea, an idea guiding the era of independence, and liberated Korea.

He went on:

Kim Il Sung was a great statesman who led the Fatherland Liberation War to victory and made immortal contributions to accomplishing the world socialist revolution and the popular masses' cause of independence by wisely leading the socialist revolution and construction in the DPRK.

He was a genius of creation and construction who turned the DPRK into a socialist power independent in politics, self-supporting in economy and self-reliant in national defence, holding high the banner of Juche and socialism.

Eric Andersson, international secretary of the Communist Party in Sweden, noted:

Kim Il Sung regarded it as an issue of paramount importance to remove mistrust and conflict between the north and the south blamed on foreign forces and achieve national unity in realizing reunification of Korea and always prioritized great national unity. He thought the national interests should be given priority irrespective of differences in ideology, ism and social system in the north and the south.

Pascal Zouncheme, chairman of the Benin Group for the Study of Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism, said that Kim Il Sung, great pioneer of the human cause of independence, has been boundlessly revered by the Korean people and progressives of the world, praising him for setting a good example in the struggle of national liberation in colony and positively helping the world oppressed people in their struggle for national liberation.
