S. Korea Hit by Downpour

| Pyongyang, July 16 (KCNA) -- Downpour has hit south Korea for the last several consecutive days, causing big damage, according to KBS of south Korea on Monday. Flood and landslide hit Pochon, Kyonggi Province and Hongchon, south Korean Kangwon Province on Sunday, leaving two persons dead and one person missing in Kaphyong, Kyonggi Province. At least 70 houses were inundated and many people were left homeless. Roads in more than 20 areas of Kyonggi Province and south Korean Kangwon Province were washed away and landslides struck at least 10 places. |
