Minju Joson Tuesday in a commentary says:

The recent negotiations exposed Washington's arbitrary practices and Seoul's despicable sycophantic nature.

It is the brigandish act that the U.S. imposes on south Korea the burden for the upkeep of its forces.

The U.S. spends the funds collected from the south Korean people as taxes for meeting its interests.

Not content with this, the U.S. is trying to impose heavier burden on south Korea. This shows that the U.S. has gone to the extremes in its robber-like practices of squandering taxes paid by the south Korean people for making preparations for a war.

It is disgrace for the nation to pay money for the upkeep of the U.S. forces in south Korea, the chieftain of the national division and root cause of war.

Nevertheless, the south Korean authorities held negotiations with the U.S. for a new agreement, an unpardonable act of treachery and sycophancy to the U.S.

It is as clear as noonday that the increase of the expenses for the upkeep of the U.S. troops in south Korea will bring bigger misfortune and sufferings to the people and bigger danger of war to the Korean Peninsula.

The traitorous act of the south Korean regime can never be pardoned as it only seeks to hurt the fellow countrymen in disregard of the destiny of the country and the nation.

The U.S. should drop its anachronistic hostile policy towards the DPRK and withdraw its troops from south Korea.
