National Fine Art Exhibition Opens to Celebrate War Victory Day

Pyongyang, July 17 (KCNA) -- The national fine art exhibition was opened with due ceremony at the Korean Art Gallery on Wednesday to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the victory in the great Fatherland Liberation War. On display in the center of the venue of the exhibition is an oil painting "On Road of Advance" depicting the great Generalissimo Kim Il Sung. Displayed there are at least 150 art pieces, including Korean paintings, oil paintings and posters. Korean painting "Invincible and Iron-willed Commander Kim Il Sung Commanding the Battle on Height 1211" and other works impressively deal with the undying exploits he performed for the victory in the war. Korean painting "Great Succession to Songun Revolutionary Leadership", acryl painting "Personally Making His Way through Thorny Bushes on the Forefront" and others depict leader Kim Jong Il. There are also oil paintings "Standing on Guard" and "First Colors" and others deal with the feats and personality of anti-Japanese war hero Kim Jong Suk. Oil paintings "For Motherland" and "River Rakdong in Flames", Korean painting "Women of Namgang Village" and others depict the brave soldiers of the Korean People's Army and people who displayed popular heroism and matchless bravery in the Fatherland Liberation War. Posters "Korean People Will Surely Win Victory", "Let Us Keep Ourselves Highly Alerted with Juche-oriented Viewpoint on War!" and others deal with the resolution of all the service personnel and people to eternally glorify the revolutionary exploits performed by the Generalissimos Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il, build a socialist thriving nation and win a final victory in the struggle to defend the country and build a thriving socialist nation under the leadership of the dear respected Marshal Kim Jong Un. Present at the opening ceremony were Kim Ki Nam, officials concerned, artists and Pyongyang citizens. |
