Speeches were made by the international secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Peru (Red Motherland) who doubles as chairman of the Peruvian preparatory committee for celebrating the 60th anniversary of the Korean people's victory in the great Fatherland Liberation War, the chairman of the People's Front of Workers, Peasants and Students of Peru, the general secretary of the Revolutionary Socialist Party of Peru and others.

The speakers praised the great Generalissimo Kim Il Sung as the invincible and iron-willed commander and outstanding strategist who shattered the myth of the "mightiness" of the U.S. imperialists in the war, adding he is a symbol of eternal victory of the cause of independence against imperialism.

They noted that he smashed the numerical and technological advantages of the U.S. imperialists with his outstanding strategy and tactics and original war methods and that the Korean people have worked miracles and brought about great innovations in socialist construction with the same spirit as displayed in defeating the U.S. imperialists under the wise leadership of the peerlessly great persons of Mt. Paektu.

The U.S. imperialists committed inhuman crimes during the Korean war and have recently created the danger of a nuclear war on the Korean Peninsula by instigating their satellite forces to step up the moves for stifling the DPRK, the speakers said.

They stressed that with no desperate move can the imperialists bring to their knees the heroic Korean people who were trained by the great Generalissimos Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il and are remaining true to the leadership of the dear respected Marshal Kim Jong Un.

They expressed belief that the party, army and people of the DPRK would always win victory in the confrontation with the U.S.-led imperialists as they are led by Kim Jong Un.
