The work, a radio speech made by him to all the Korean people on June 26, Juche 39 (1950), the day after the start of the Korean war, deals with the efforts of the DPRK government to achieve the independent and peaceful reunification of the country and the aim of the war of aggression ignited by the U.S. imperialists and the Syngman Rhee puppet clique. Noting that the war waged by the Korean people is a just war for the reunification and independence of the country and its freedom and democracy, it indicates the tasks to be fulfilled to win a final victory in the war.
