Events Held Abroad to Mark War Victory Day
Pyongyang, July 20 (KCNA) -- A meeting took place in Denmark, the first meeting of a preparatory committee in the UK and round-table talks and film shows in Ethiopia between July 1 and 9 to mark the 60th anniversary of the Korean people's victory in the Fatherland Liberation War.

Seen in the film shows were Korean films including "Fireworks of a Thriving Nation."

The chairman of the Denmark-DPRK Friendship Association recalled that the army and people of the DPRK defeated the U.S. imperialists who boasted of being the "strongest" in the world in the Fatherland Liberation War under the wise leadership of President Kim Il Sung and firmly defended the sovereignty of the country and the dignity of the nation.

He said that the DPRK was well known to the world as a country of heroes and the Korean people as a heroic people, adding that the exploits the President performed for bringing about a great victory in the war would shine forever with human history.

The general secretary of the Central Committee of the Revolutionary Communist Party of Britain (Marxist-Leninist) said that the U.S. imperialists applied all brutal methods and means to the war but could not bring to their knees the army and people of the DPRK led by Kim Il Sung.

The director of an Ethiopian hospital noted that Kim Il Sung was an invincible and iron-willed commander who brought about the great victory in the war ignited by the U.S., adding that the future of the DPRK is rosy as it is led by Marshal Kim Jong Un who is identical to Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il in matchless grit and personality.

A message of greeting to Kim Jong Un was adopted at the event held in Denmark.
