For the past five decades more than 6 300 letters, messages of greeting and messages were sent to the commanders of Mt. Paektu from every nook and corner of the world. At least 15 000 statements, appeals and resolutions and others were released in over 190 countries, over 20 000 solidarity events have been broadly conducted and over 11 000 media waged active media campaign.

The 3rd conference of the Afro-Asian People's Solidarity held in Tanzania in February, 1963 adopted a resolution on the DPRK with a unanimous approval.

The resolution underscored the need to positively support the withdrawal of the U.S. imperialist aggressor forces from south Korea and the independent and peaceful reunification of Korea without interference of any foreign forces and decided to set the period from June 25, the day when the U.S. imperialists provoked the Korean war, to July 27, the 10th anniversary of the conclusion of the Korean Armistice Agreement, as the "month of joint struggle for withdrawal of the U.S. imperialist aggressor forces from south Korea".

The struggle against the high-handed and arbitrary practices of the U.S. has since flared up like a prairie fire in every part of the world on the occasion of the first anniversary of the month.

The people's congress against the U.S. military presence in south Korea was held in Beijing and mass rallies took place with huge attendance in Tianjin, Changchun, Shenyang, Yanji and other places of China.

Messages and statements to the Korean people were continuously adopted at meetings, film shows and exhibitions held in Moscow, Havana, Ulan Bator and Warsaw and other countries.

The month has improved to be the international solidarity movement of mankind strongly supporting the DPRK winning victory after victory in the DPRK-U.S. confrontation.

As many as 400 million people participated in the international signature campaign for the denuclearization on the Korean Peninsula which was waged on a world-wide scale in the month of 1992.

458.03 million people of more than 520 political parties, organizations and international organizations and social circles in the world also participated in the international signature campaign which was carried on for nine months through the anti-U.S. joint struggle month from February, 2002, supporting the June 15 North-South Joint Declaration and demanding the withdrawal of the U.S. forces from south Korea.

International courts were held in New York, Pyongyang and Lima in 2001, 2003 and 2004 to judge the criminal acts of the U.S. forces in the period of the Korean war.
