Candlelight Action Unabated in S. Korea

Pyongyang, July 21 (KCNA) -- A candlelight action took place at Seoul Square on Friday in demand of probe into truth behind the case of the interference of the Intelligence Service (IS) in the election under the sponsorship of the Emergency Situation Council to Denounce IS's Interference in Presidential Election for Political Operation which consists of more than 200 civic and social organizations.

More than 10 000 people from all walks of life took part in the action. Among them were representatives of civic and social organizations, lawmakers from opposition parties, citizens, workers, university students and schoolchildren.

Speakers at the meeting said that students have staged candlelight actions for a month and even schoolchildren have taken to streets to wage a movement for issuing declarations on the situation to denounce the illegal actions of the IS.

However, a proper investigation has not yet been conducted into the case and media are shutting their eyes to it, they said, urging the "Saenuri Party" not to block the investigation into the IS case.
