Anniversary of Korean People's Victory in War Observed by Peruvian Organizations

| Pyongyang, July 22 (KCNA) -- The Peruvian Group for the Study of Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism and the Peruvian Committee for Friendship and Solidarity with Peoples posted a joint article titled "Wise leadership, great victory" on a website on July 15. The article said: July 27 this year marks the 60th anniversary of the Korean people's victory in the great Fatherland Liberation War. Generalissimo Kim Il Sung, great commander and strategist, defeated Japanese imperialism by waging the protracted anti-Japanese armed struggle and saved the Korean people from the yoke of colonial slavery. He also beat back the invasion by brigandish U.S. imperialism and protected the sovereignty of the country and nation. The Korean people's victory in the war is a fruition of the wise leadership of Kim Il Sung. We are pleased to celebrate July 27 as a day of great victory in the struggle against imperialism and the U.S., together with the Korean people. We extend our warm congratulations to the Korean people on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of their victory in the war. |
