Pyongyang, July 23 (KCNA) -- Events took place in various countries between July 12 and 19 to mark the 60th anniversary of the Korean people's victory in the great Fatherland Liberation War. They included seminars held by the Communist Party of Tajikistan and the Bangladeshi Group for the Study of Songun Politics, a photo exhibition held by the Art and Cultural Council of the Ministry of Federal Capital Territory of Nigeria and a reading session and film show held at a construction site in Guinea. On display in the venue of the photo exhibition were photos showing the exploits President Kim Il Sung performed by leading the war to victory. Also displayed there were photos dealing with the successes the service personnel and people of the DPRK have performed in the building of a thriving nation under the leadership of the dear respected Kim Jong Un. Participants in the film show watched films denouncing the crimes committed by the U.S. imperialists after igniting the Korean war. The chairman of the Communist Party of Tajikistan said the historic victory of the Korean people in the Fatherland Liberation War would have been unthinkable without the superb military strategy and tactics of Kim Il Sung. Speakers including the chairman of the Bangladeshi Group for the Study of Songun Politics said Kim Il Sung inflicted an ignominious defeat, the first of its kind in history, upon the U.S. in the war though it boasted of being "the strongest" in the world, and thus firmly defended the sovereignty and dignity of the DPRK. He shattered the myth of the U.S. "mightiness" and created the myth of the DPRK's invincibility, they added. The Korean people under the Songun revolutionary leadership of the dear respected Kim Jong Un are dynamically advancing along the road of independence, Songun and socialism, shattering the moves of the imperialists to stifle the DPRK, they stressed. The director of the Art and Cultural Council of the Ministry of Federal Capital Territory of Nigeria said the DPRK could defeat the U.S.-led imperialist allied forces thanks to the outstanding strategy and tactics, original war methods, superb stratagem and commanding art of Kim Il Sung. |
