Pyongyang, July 23 (KCNA) -- A political party and organizations of Russia, Nigeria and Brazil posted articles on their websites between July 7 and 12 to mark the 60th anniversary of the Korean people's victory in the great Fatherland Liberation War. The Khabarovsk Territorial Committee of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation in an article titled "U.S. imperialists ignited the Korean war" noted the 1950-1953 Korean war was the hardest-fought war after the Second World War. The article noted: The U.S. imperialists hurled their troops into the southern half of the Korean Peninsula, a geopolitically important region, under the mask of "liberators" in a bid to militarily dominate the Asian Continent. They turned south Korea into a pro-U.S. "state" and into a region totally dependent on the U.S. politically, economically and militarily. At that time, the U.S. sought a way for weathering its economic crisis in provoking the Korean war. The ignition of the war was also required for saving the Syngman Rhee's puppet regime from its collapse due to the mounting anti-"government" spirit in south Korea. The history clearly proves who provoked the war. The Nigerian National Committee for the Study of the Juche Idea posted an article titled "National treasure retrieved in the crucible of the war". Noting President Kim Il Sung organized an operation to retrieve the national treasures from the danger of destruction in the days of the war and took measures to preserve them, the article highly praised him for his strong sense of patriotism. The Brazilian Committee for Solidarity with the DPRK posted on its website an article introducing the battle for liberating Taejon, a shining example of modern siege warfare set during the Fatherland Liberation War. |
