Korean Stamp Exhibition Opens
Pyongyang, July 23 (KCNA) -- The Korean stamp exhibition opened to mark the 60th anniversary of the victory in the great Fatherland Liberation War.

Displayed in the exhibition were portraits of smiling President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il and the enlarged photo of a stamp portraying the dear respected Kim Jong Un.

Stamps portraying feats of the President in leading the hard-fought war to victory included souvenir sheet "The great leader Comrade Kim Il Sung addressing Pyongyang city mass rally celebrating the victory in the Fatherland Liberation War" and sheetlet "The great leader Comrade Kim Il Sung working out a plan for bringing about a great turn across the country".

There were also stamps praising the leadership feats of Kim Jong Il, who trained the revolutionary armed forces of Korea into the powerful revolutionary Paektusan army with his outstanding Songun revolutionary leadership and of Kim Jong Un, who is glorifying the ever-victorious history and tradition.

Also on display are stamps of diverse themes presented by lots of philatelists.

An opening ceremony took place at the Korean Stamps Museum Tuesday.

Present there were Vice-Premier Kim Yong Jin, Minister of Post and Telecommunications Sim Chol Ho, officials concerned, creators, philatelists and other people.

Present there on invitation were officials in charge of cultural and friendly relations of foreign embassies here.

Ho Song Gil, director of the State Stamp Bureau of the DPRK, made an opening speech.

The participants went round stamps on display.
