Trains and buses carrying defenders of the country in the 1950s arrived at Pyongyang Railway Station and lodgings.

They were warmly welcomed by Kim Ki Nam, Choe Thae Bok, Kwak Pom Gi, Jo Yon Jun and other officials of the C.C., the Workers' Party of Korea, officials concerned and people from all walks of life and employees of the lodgings.

Pyongyang Railway Station and streets were crowded with citizens and school children who presented the sea of flowers to welcome them.

The war veterans felt deep gratitude for the mother party which invariably put them forward as revolutionary forerunners who fought to defend the country risking their lives and the precious national treasure though six decades have passed since the war ended in victory of the Korean people.
