Kim Il Sung Lauded Abroad

Pyongyang, July 24 (KCNA) -- Meetings took place in Kyrgyzstan, Myanmar and Benin on July 16 and 17 to mark the 60th anniversary of the Korean people's victory in the Fatherland Liberation War. Present at the meetings were personages of various circles and masses in those countries. A. Usupbayev, chairman of the Central Council of the People Unity "Kyrgyz El" Republican Political Party who is also chief of the Group for the Study of the Juche Idea, said the Korean people defeated U.S. imperialism which boasted of being the "strongest" in the world under the leadership of President Kim Il Sung. He lauded the President for hewing out the Korean revolution and leading it to victory with arms. He went on: Kim Il Sung was, indeed, a legendary hero, military prodigy and iron-willed commander who performed great military exploits to be recorded in human history with his outstanding military idea and original strategy and tactics through the protracted hard struggle for defending the sovereignty of the country. Now the DPRK led by the dear respected Kim Jong Un is demonstrating its might as a nuclear weapons state which is also capable of manufacturing and launching satellites. Hessou Kohovi, chairman of the Benin-Korea Amicable Association "Long Live Kim Jong Il, Supreme Leader" who doubles as chairman of the Benin National Committee for the Study of the Juche Idea, said Kim Il Sung put forth original war methods and left a brilliant page in the world modern war history. Kim Il Sung was, indeed, a gifted strategist and great commander, he added. Pascal Zouncheme, rector of the Cotonou Institute of Journalism of Benin who is also chairman of the Beninese Group for the Study of Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism, said the service personnel and people of the DPRK led by Marshal Kim Jong Un will create the ever-victorious history, true to the intentions of the great Generalissimos Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il. |
