Pyongyang, July 24 (KCNA) -- New songs have come out in the Democratic People's Republic of Korea with the approach of the 60th anniversary of the Korean people's victory in the Fatherland Liberation War (June 25, 1950-July 27, 1953), adding to the festive mood. The songs include "July 27 March", "Tell, Fireworks of War Victory", "Respects to Victors of Great Age" and "Holiday of Great War Victory". They remind people of the military parade held in celebration of the war victory and the history of the victory the DPRK won in the showdown with the U.S.-led imperialists under the guidance of Generalissimos Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il. "July 27 March" sings of the Korean people's pride in bringing to knees the U.S. in the war for the first time in history. "Respects to Victors of Great Age" is full of high respects for fallen fighters and war veterans. "Tell, Fireworks of War Victory" makes people recall the feats the soldiers of the Korean People's Army performed in the war. "Holiday of Great War Victory" portrays the pledge of younger generations to carry forward the spirit of defending the motherland the servicepersons kept in wartime. Some days ago, the songs were awarded a decoration instituted in honor of the 60th anniversary of the war victory. |
