In order to stifle the DPRK in its bud the U.S. fed to the Korean war over 2 million-strong forces including its army, troops of its 15 satellite countries and the puppet south Korean army as well as modern military equipment.

But the war ended with the U.S. defeat.

The British Branch of the Friendship Association with Korea in its statement said that the Korean people's victory in the war against U.S. imperialism showed that even a small country can surely defeat any formidable enemy if its people firmly unite around their leader and fight by displaying the strong will and fighting spirit.

The chairman of the Finland-Korea Society said that the world progressive people praise the Korean people as the heroic people who defeated the U.S. imperialists for the first time in the world.

The Indian newspaper Indian and World Event emphasized that the U.S. defeat in the Korean war awakened the international community to the truth that no force on earth could overpower the Korean army and people led by President Kim Il Sung, an iron-willed brilliant commander.
