Korean People's Victory in War Celebrated Abroad
Pyongyang, July 26 (KCNA) -- Meetings were held in Bangladesh, Romania and Iceland from July 19 to 21 to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the Korean people's victory in the Fatherland Liberation War.

Present there were figures of all social strata and other people.

Speakers including Garib Newaz, president of the Bangladesh People's League, praised the Korean army and people's victory in the war as an event that instilled the great faith into the world independent forces and encouraged them to the struggle against imperialism, adding that the Koreans thwarted the aggression by the U.S., which boasted of being "the strongest" in the world, and achieved the brilliant victory under the wise leadership of President Kim Il Sung.

They emphasized that the myth of the U.S. "mightiness" was shattered by the outstanding strategy, tactics and military methods of the President, adding the DPRK created a new myth.

Daniel Dediu, chairman of the Romanian Workers' Association, praised the President as a brilliant strategist and invincible and iron-willed commander who brought about the beginning of a downhill turn for the U.S. imperialists.

Jon Arni Halldorsson, general secretary of the Iceland-DPRK Friendship and Cultural Society, disclosed that the U.S. imperialists mobilized huge military troops and war hardware and committed the whole gamut of brutal crimes.

He urged the U.S. to promptly respond to the DPRK's proposal for replacing the Armistice Agreement by a peace treaty.

Adopted at the meeting held in Romania was a congratulatory message to the dear respected Kim Jong Un.
