Laid on the wreath-laying stands of the martyrs cemeteries were wreaths sent by Supreme Commander of the Korean People's Army (KPA) Kim Jong Un, first secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK) and first chairman of the National Defence Commission of the DPRK.

Present at the wreath-laying ceremonies were senior party, state and army officials including Kim Yong Nam, Pak Pong Ju and Choe Ryong Hae, the chairperson of a friendly party, officials of the party, armed forces and power organs, social organizations, the Cabinet, ministries and national institutions, service personnel of the KPA and the Korean People's Internal Security Forces (KPISF) and other people in Pyongyang.

Placed on the wreath-laying stand of the Revolutionary Martyrs Cemetery on Mt. Taesong were wreaths in the name of the Central Committee of the WPK, the Presidium of the DPRK Supreme People's Assembly (SPA) and the Cabinet of the DPRK. Laid before the Patriotic Martyrs Cemetery, the Friendship Tower and the Liberation Tower were wreaths in the joint name of the C.C., WPK, the Presidium of SPA and the Cabinet of the DPRK.

Wreaths were placed in the name of the Ministry of the People's Armed Forces, the Ministry of People's Security, social organizations, ministries, national institutions, units of the KPA and the KPISF, institutions of science, education, public health and media and the party and power organs, factories, farms in Pyongyang.

The participants paid silent tribute to the martyrs.

They also paid respect to the martyrs of the Chinese People's Volunteers who fought on the Korean fronts against the aggression of the imperialist allied forces and to martyrs of the Soviet Army who fell in battles for the liberation of Korea.
