Wreaths Laid before Cemetery of Fallen Fighters of CPV
Pyongyang, July 26 (KCNA) -- The delegation of the People's Republic of China headed by Li Yuanchao, member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and vice-president of the PRC, laid a wreath before the cemetery of fallen fighters of the Chinese People's Volunteers (CPV) in Hoechang County, South Phyongan Province on Friday.

Seen standing before the cemetery was a wreath sent by Supreme Commander of the Korean People's Army Kim Jong Un, first secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK) and first chairman of the National Defence Commission of the DPRK.

Also seen standing there were wreaths in the name of the Ministry of the People's Armed Forces, the South Phyongan Provincial Committee of the WPK and the South Phyongan Provincial People's Committee, the Hoechang County Committee of the WPK and the Hoechang County People's Committee and a unit of the Korean People's Army.

Present at the wreath-laying ceremony were Minister of Public Health Kang Ha Guk, chairman of the Central Committee of the DPRK-China Friendship Association, Kim Song Nam, vice department director of the C.C., WPK, Pyon In Son, vice-minister of the People's Armed Forces, Kim Hyong Jun, vice-minister of Foreign Affairs, Ji Jae Ryong, DPRK ambassador to China, officials concerned, officials of party and power organs in the province and the county, people in the county and staff members of the Chinese embassy here.

Wreaths were laid before the cemetery in the name of the delegation and in the joint name of the C.C., the WPK and the Presidium of the Supreme People's Assembly and the Cabinet of the DPRK.

The participants paid silent tribute to the martyrs of the CPV who bravely fought on the Korean front against the invasion by the imperialist allied forces.

They placed bouquets before the grave of Mao Anying before going round the cemetery.

In the meantime, the delegation visited the Songhung Revolutionary Site on the same day.

Li Yuanchao wrote in the visitor's book that the exploits of the CPV would shine forever.
