Kim Il Sung's Exploits in War Praised by Foreign Newspapers
Pyongyang, July 27 (KCNA) -- Newspapers of various countries dedicated special write-ups to the 60th anniversary of the victory in the great Fatherland Liberation War.

The July 22nd issue of the Mongolian newspaper Zuuny Medee carried an article titled "An iron-willed commander" illustrated with a photo of smiling President Kim Il Sung and photos documenting the revolutionary activities of leader Kim Jong Il and the dear respected Kim Jong Un.

The article said that it is a miracle unknown in history that the young DPRK won a victory in the confrontation with the allied forces of the U.S. which boasted of being "the strongest" in the world, troops of 15 countries following it, the south Korean puppet army and remnants of the Imperial Japanese Army. It went on:

Kim Il Sung, the founder of socialist Korea, wrought such a memorable military miracle.

The result of the Korean war proved that the U.S. "mightiness" was no more than a mirage and its military technological power was not almighty.

Clark, who signed the Armistice Agreement, the first of its kind in the U.S. history, confessed that the north Korean army achieved success thanks to the skilled command by General Kim Il Sung, and Gomes, former president of Portugal, said that he came to know that Kim Il Sung was a gifted strategist and great commander, the only one in the world.

The July 19th issue of the Ugandan newspaper Sun Rise carried an article titled "Day of Korean people's victory" illustrated with a photo of the smiling President. The article stressed that it is the fixed stand of the DPRK that if the U.S. imperialists ignite a new war, it will stamp them out so that not a single man will be left to sign the surrender document.

The July 18th issue of the Thai newspaper Xing San Daily and the July 19th issue of the Bangladeshi newspaper The Daily Folk in their special write-ups titled "Generalissimo Kim Il Sung" and "60 years ago, an event that startled the world" praised the President for bringing about the beginning of a downhill turn for U.S. imperialism for the first time in history.
