Watching the evening gala were Kim Yong Nam, Pak Pong Ju, Choe Ryong Hae and other senior party, state and army officials, war veteran delegates, officials of the party, armed forces and power bodies, public organizations, ministries and national institutions, men and officers of the Korean People's Army and the Korean People's Internal Security Forces, men of meritorious services, delegations of overseas Koreans and other compatriots, the chief of the Pyongyang mission of the Anti-Imperialist National Democratic Front, foreign delegations and delegates, diplomatic envoys of different countries and military attaches of foreign embassies here and other foreign guests.

The evening gala began with prologue "July 27 of Victory".

The participants danced to the tune of songs "For My Only Motherland", "July 27 March", "Song of National Defence" and "We Have Won".

In scene 1 "Highest Tribute to the Great Generalissimos" youth and students paid highest tribute to the great Generalissimo Kim Jong Il who glorified the dignity and might of Korea by carrying forward the history and tradition of certain victory provided by the great Generalissimo Kim Il Sung.

In scene 2 "I Will Devote My Youth to the Country" the participants represented the great pride and self-confidence of the younger generation who enjoy a worthy life under the care of the great sun.

The evening gala reached its climax in scene 3 "Our Eternal July 27" and epilogue "Forward for Final Victory under Leadership of the great Marshal Kim Jong Un" which reflected the fixed will of the young vanguard to eternally glorify the history and tradition of certain victory, holding the peerlessly illustrious commander in high esteem.

War veteran delegates, overseas Koreans and foreign guests joined youth and students in cheerful dancing.

The evening gala powerfully demonstrated the fixed will of the Songun young vanguard to glorify the undying feats Kim Il Sung performed by winning the victory in the war and the Songun leadership feats of Kim Jong Il and lead July 27 of war victory to a final victory in the confrontation with the U.S. and the drive for building a thriving nation under the leadership of Kim Jong Un.
