DPRK's War Victory Anniversary Observed Abroad

Pyongyang, July 30 (KCNA) -- Photo exhibitions, lectures and film shows took place in Russia, Democratic Congo and Ecuador in the period between July 18 and 26 on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the victory in the Fatherland Liberation War. On display in the venues of the events were photos showing the exploits of the great Generalissimos Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il and the dear respected Kim Jong Un. There were also works of the peerlessly great men of Mt. Paektu and books and photos introducing the successes of the Korean people in the drive to build a thriving socialist nation. Participants in the film shows watched Korean film "Reply of Korea". The chairman of the Moscow Veterans Committee of Russia said that Kim Il Sung was an iron-willed brilliant commander who protected the sovereignty and dignity of the country and the nation from the aggression by the U.S. imperialists and their allied forces. He is the eternal leader of the Korean people who devoted all his life to the prosperity of the country and happiness of the people, the chairman added. The deputy general secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Democratic Congo said that the world progressive people remember the immortal exploits of Kim Il Sung for the war victory though 60 years have passed since the Korean people achieved the great victory in the war ignited by the U.S. imperialists. The secretary general of the Ecuadorian Committee for Supporting Korea's Independent and Peaceful Reunification said that Kim Il Sung was an invincible and iron-willed commander who defeated the U.S imperialists who boasted of being the "strongest" in the world by leading the army and people of the DPRK with his distinguished strategy, tactics and unique war methods. The exploits for the war victory performed by him by protecting the independent dignity of the Korean people and making great contributions to accomplishing the human cause of independence will shine long in history, the secretary general added. |
