The statement said:

The U.S. imperialists ignited the Korean War on June 25, 1950 only to suffer a disgraceful defeat by the heroic Korean people who fought against them under the wise leadership of Generalissimo Kim Il Sung, an invincible and iron-willed commander and legendary hero.

Since then the U.S. imperialists have taken the downhill path and the world movement for national liberation against imperialism greeted the period of a surge.

Korea, incomparably smaller than the U.S. in territory, could win a brilliant victory in the war against the U.S. imperialist aggressors thanks to the ingenious Juche-oriented war methods and leadership of Kim Il Sung.

The Korean War proved that even a small country can win when all the people turn out and bravely fight under the guidance of the great leader.

The British branch of the Korean Friendship Association extends the warmest congratulations to the dear respected Kim Jong Un and the Korean people on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the victory in the war.

A peace treaty between the DPRK and the U.S. has not been concluded though six decades have passed since the ceasefire.

The U.S. imperialists continuously stay in south Korea and desperately work hard to revive the "UN Command".

We strongly demand that the U.S. immediately withdraw its armed forces for aggression from south Korea, dismantle the "UN Command" and conclude a peace treaty with the DPRK.
