Present there were personages from south Korean and foreign academic circles and civic and social bodies.

Speakers at the meeting said that the June 25 Korean War was the most barbarous war in human history in which innocent people were massacred.

They accused the south Korean army and police of killing civilians and concealing it.

Saying the root cause of the escalation of the danger of war on the peninsula is none other than the U.S. troops present in south Korea, they called for withdrawing them from south Korea at an early date.

They demanded the conclusion of a peace treaty and realization of peace on the peninsula.

They called for expanding the on-going struggle and encouraging the world people to the struggle against the hegemonic policy of the U.S.

The U.S. should come out to the negotiations for concluding a peace treaty on the Korean Peninsula, they stressed.

They also called for rejecting all actions following the war moves of the U.S. and for realizing the solidarity of the peace-loving people to bring peace to Northeast Asia.

Adopted there was an international peace declaration for ending the state of war on the Korean Peninsula and signing the peace treaty.

At the end of the meeting its participants staged a demonstration.
