DPRK's Victory in War Marked in Bulgaria, Czech Republic
Pyongyang, July 31 (KCNA) -- Public organizations of Bulgaria and the Czech Republic issued bulletins to mark the 60th anniversary of the Korean people's victory in the Fatherland Liberation War.

The Bulgaria-Korea Friendship Association carried in the bulletin on July 23 an article explaining how the Korean War broke out, exposing the crimes of the U.S. imperialists as the provoker of the war and praising the great victory of the Korean people in the war.

The article continued: President Kim Il Sung led all the Koreans to wage the Fatherland Liberation War to beat back the invasion by the U.S. imperialists and south Korean puppet forces.

The heroic Korean People's Army liberated most parts of south Korea in a short period. At that time the U.S. 24th division which claimed to be invincible was badly battered and Dean, its commander, was taken prisoner.

The Korean army and people scored brilliant military achievements. They killed or injured or captured at least 1 567 000 enemy troops and destructed or captured huge quantities of combat and technical equipment during the war.

The Paektusan Czech-Korean Friendship Association on July 24 published a special bulletin with several articles titled "How did the Korean war break out?" and "60th anniversary of the Korean people's victory in the Fatherland Liberation War".

The articles cited specific facts to prove that the Korean army and people beat back the aggressors and won a historic victory in the war started by the U.S. imperialists, displaying a matchless self-sacrificing spirit and popular heroism.
