Kim Il Sung Praised for Leading War to Victory
Pyongyang, July 31 (KCNA) -- Various events took place in foreign countries to mark the 60th anniversary of the Korean people's victory in the Fatherland Liberation War from July 18 to 24.

They included meetings in Argentina and Pakistan and film shows in Thailand and the Czech Republic.

Displayed in the venues of the events were photos documenting the immortal exploits of President Kim Il Sung, leader Kim Jong Il and the dear respected Kim Jong Un.

Also on display were famous works of the peerlessly great men of Mt. Paektu and some books and pictures introducing Songun Korea.

Participants of the film shows watched Korean films such as "The Country Shining with Arms of Mt. Paektu".

The international secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Argentina praised the President for winning a victory in the war as a brilliant strategist and invincible and iron-willed commander.

The secretary general of the Karachi Branch of the Pakistan-Korea Friendship Association said:

The world witnessed the fierce war fought by the just two years old DPRK against the U.S. which boasted of the myth of "mightiness" early in the 1950s.

The Korean army and people defeated the U.S. imperialists and won a victory in the three-year-long war on July 27, 1953.

We pay highest tribute to the President, who led the war to victory with his extraordinary and seasoned leadership.

The secretary general of the Pakistan Trade Union Federation said:

The Korean war proved that the people are invincible when they fight in unity around the great leader, believing in the justice of their cause.

The U.S. and its allies are making every desperate effort to stifle the DPRK, instead of drawing a lesson from their past heavy defeat.

The U.S. should roll back its hostile policy towards the DPRK.

A congratulatory message to Kim Jong Un was adopted at the meeting in Pakistan.
