Rodong Sinmun Wednesday in a commentary says:

The south Korean military's moves to defer the transfer of the right to command wartime operations saliently reveal the treacherous nature of the south Korean ruling quarters keen on confrontation with fellow countrymen, backed by foreign forces as they represent the height of the pro-American act of offering south Korea to the U.S. as its permanent advanced base for invading the DPRK and the puppet army as a shock brigade of its master in aggression.

The present chief executive of south Korea regarded it as her "election commitment" to normally push forward "transfer of the above-said right" till 2015 and singled out it as one of the "core tasks of her diplomatic and security policies."

Whenever this issue became a topic of public discussion, the south Korean ruling forces claimed that it would be pressed ahead with as scheduled but, in actuality, clung to coattails of their U.S. master in a bid to defer the transfer. According to press reports, the south Korean authorities have been busy with diplomacy towards their U.S. masters since March last to request them to defer the transfer.

They are working hard to defer the transfer under the pretext of the non-existent "nuclear threat from the north." This is chiefly aimed to escalate an international pressure on the DPRK by winning favor of the U.S. keen on its permanent presence in south Korea and thus realize their long-harbored ambition for invading the north.

The south Korean authorities' pro-U.S. submissive and treacherous moves are nothing but foolish behaviors to serve the purpose of the U.S. scenario to reduce south Korea to its total colony and base for attacking the north.
