Kim Jong Un Meets Women Soccer Players

Pyongyang, July 31 (KCNA) -- Marshal Kim Jong Un, first secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea, first chairman of the DPRK National Defence Commission and supreme commander of the Korean People's Army, met the women soccer players who won the 2013 East Asian Cup. Present at the meeting were Choe Ryong Hae, Jang Song Thaek, Kim Kyong Hui, Kang Sok Ju, Ri Yong Su, Ri Yong Gil, Pak Thae Song, Hwang Pyong So, Kim Pyong Ho, Kim Yong Hun, Ma Won Chun, Kim Yong Chol, O Kum Chol, Ri Jong Mu, minister of Physical Culture and Sports, Ri Ju Bong, chief secretary of the party committee of the ministry, and Jon Yong Nam, chairman of the Central Committee of the Kim Il Sung Socialist Youth League. Kim Jong Un shook hands with the players and Chief Coach Kim Kwang Min one by one, warmly congratulating them on the success they made at the 2013 East Asian Cup, exalting the honor of Songun Korea. He highly praised the distinguished successes made by Kim Un Ju, winner of the prize of best player, Ho Un Byol, winner of the prize of top scorer, and Chief Coach Kim Kwang Min, who led the team to victory. The women soccer players of the DPRK fully displayed the Juche-oriented methods of playing and their high techniques, persevering spirit and teamwork, he said, repeatedly appreciating their feats. By winning the cup on the day, the 60th anniversary of the victory in the great Fatherland Liberation War, they added joy and jubilation to the servicepersons and people of the country significantly celebrating July 27 and instilled into them confidence of sure victory and optimism, he said.
