The Olympiad held in Colombia from July 18 to 28 brought together more than 520 students from 97 countries and regions.

They competed in problems of geometry, algebra, combination and theory of numbers. Students of Pyongyang Secondary School No. 1 got high appreciations by satisfactorily solving problems.

Hong Chung Song and Pak Ji Hyon bagged gold medals.

Choe Kwang, Choe Song Yong, Kim Song Il and Ri Jong Yol received silver medals.

They returned home on Friday.
