The consultation was attended by local health officials, Rajesh Bhatia, acting regional director for WHO South-East Asia and other foreign professionals.

The speakers at the consultation reviewed experiences gained in carrying on telemedicine in their countries and touched on the advantages of the kind of medical service, elaborating on ways for its further development.

Also put up for discussion were the issues of upgrading the abilities of health workers, intensifying the hygienic information activities on the network and developing e-health in line with regional strategy for it.

They referred to ways for expanding the service in all regions and countries.
