Kim Jong Un Receives Congratulatory Message from Brazilian Political Party Leader
Pyongyang, August 3 (KCNA) -- Kim Jong Un, first secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea, received a congratulatory message from Sergio Rubens De Araujo Torres, national president of the Party for Free Motherland of Brazil, on July 27.

The message said:

Pyongyang was destroyed and many Koreans were killed in the war which started on June 25, 1950 due to the U.S. foolish provocation against the DPRK and lasted till 1953.

The DPRK bravely stood up against the enemies, not yielding to them, and achieved truce, forcing them to halt their war actions.

The young DPRK and the Korean People's Army recorded a special chapter in the world history of wars by fighting against the U.S. which emerged the biggest military power after the Second World War and boasted of being "the strongest" in the world. This victory was a brilliant fruition of the distinguished military strategy of President Kim Il Sung.

The Korean army and people completely rehabilitated the country in a brief span of time after the war by their devoted efforts under the leadership of the Workers' Party of Korea. They turned their country into a power with strong and developed economy, the capability to beat back the imperialists' invasion and defend national sovereignty and a war deterrent.

This year we are celebrating the 60th anniversary of the DPRK's victory in the Fatherland Liberation War.

We send solidarity to the DPRK in its efforts and just proposal to conclude a peace treaty, put an end to the U.S. hostile acts and sanctions against it and preserve peace on the Korean peninsula and to the WPK and the Korean people in their struggle for the independent and peaceful reunification of the country on behalf of our party.

Please accept our sincere salute.
