Extending glory to the brave and revolutionary Korean people celebrating the 60th anniversary of the victory in the war, the statement noted:

July 27, 1953 was the day which proved the truth that no strong army equipped with ultra-modern war hardware can ever defeat the people who determinedly rose up to safeguard their homeland.

The Korean people had to beat back the U.S. aggression soon after their liberation from the colonial rule of the Japanese imperialists. However, they could defeat the U.S. which boasted of its "mightiness", thanks to the superb strategy and tactics and wise leadership of President Kim Il Sung.

The Korean war convinced the world people that the revolutionary leadership of a great leader was a decisive factor that made it possible to achieve a miraculous victory.

I am sure that the heroic and diligent Korean people will as ever achieve a final victory in their just cause of building an economic power and pushing forward socialist construction under the leadership of supreme leader Kim Jong Un.
