Present there were officials of the Ministry of Public Health, provinces, cities and counties, officials concerned, nursing mothers, representative of the WHO and staff members of the mission of UNICEF here.

An opening address and congratulatory speeches were made at the event.

The speakers referred to the successes and experience gained in breastfeeding.

They underscored the need to make efforts to raise healthy babies by paying greater public attention to breastfeeding.

Then, the participants watched a video. Discussions were made on "Breastfeeding in the DPRK" and "Posture and method of putting a baby to a breast".

The participants went round photos on information service for promoting breastfeeding and enjoyed an art performance given by children.
