DPRK's Day of Victory in War Celebrated Abroad
Pyongyang, August 6 (KCNA) -- Events took place in different countries on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the victory of the Korean people in the Fatherland Liberation War.

Korean book, photo and handicraft exhibition, meetings, seminars, lectures, film shows and round-table talks were held in Russia, Brazil, India, Nigeria and Mozambique between July 20 and 27.

Displayed in the venues of the events were photos of President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il.

Exhibited in the venues were works of Kim Il Sung, Kim Jong Il and supreme leader Kim Jong Un, photos and books showing the successes achieved by the DPRK in the building of a thriving socialist nation and handicrafts associated with the wisdom and skills of the Korean people.

Films shown included Korean films "The Country Shining with Arms of Mt. Paektu" and "Korea Today."

Present at the events were public figures of all social standings and masses of the relevant countries.

Speakers including a vice mayor of the Ryuberts City Administration of Moscow Region of Russia said that the Korean people could win a victory in the war ignited by the U.S. imperialists, thanks to the leadership of Kim Il Sung.

They expressed conviction that the DPRK is sure to prosper, adding that the Korean people are firmly defending peace and security of the country under the leadership of Kim Jong Un.

The vice-president of the Party for Free Motherland of Brazil said that the Korean people shattered the myth of the U.S. imperialists' "mightiness" in the Korean war for the first time in history, adding:

Kim Jong Il pursued the Songun politics, turning the DPRK into a political, ideological and military power capable of beating back any formidable enemy and firmly defending socialism and the cause of global independence.

A message of greeting to Kim Jong Un was adopted at the meeting held in Mozambique.
