Korean People's Day of Victory in War Celebrated in Foreign Countries
Pyongyang, August 6 (KCNA) -- Personages of Democratic Congo and Nepal made public statements on July 23 and 26 to mark the 60th anniversary of the Korean people's victory in the Fatherland Liberation War.

The chairman of the National Committee for the Study of the Juche Idea of Democratic Congo said:

The Korean people are to significantly mark on July 27 the 60th anniversary of the great victory in the war ignited by the U.S. in the last century.

When the Korean war broke out, there was so big gap in strength between the two warring parties that the U.S. generals bragged they would have breakfast in Haeju, lunch in Pyongyang and supper in Sinuiju.

All calculations of the U.S., however, were dashed. The DPRK, less than two years old, defeated the U.S. imperialist aggression forces which claimed no defeat in the wars.

The DPRK's brilliant victory and the U.S. shameful defeat still teach the world many lessons.

First, the military and technical superiorities are not a decisive factor of the victory in the war.

Second, the ideological education plays an important role in giving play to patriotism.

Third, the people should be guided by a far-sighted leader, first of all.

Fourth, a war of aggression is bound to meet a defeat as it is in the interests of the ruling bourgeois class.

Nil Bir Singh Kansakar, vice-chairman of the Nepal-Korea Friendship Association and vice-chairman of the Nepal Institute for the Juche Studies, said the Korean people, single-mindedly united around supreme leader Kim Jong Un, will always emerge victorious just as they won the war in the 1950s.
