The U.S. seeks to keep its forces in south Korea permanently in a bid to contain big powers in Northeast Asia and carry out its strategy for dominating the region. It hopes to see the Korean nation remains divided into the north and the south and stands in confrontation.

It pretends to support the improvement of inter-Korean relations but it has laid hurdles in the way of reconciliation, unity and independent reunification of the north and the south through unreasonable interference and involvement, putting its aggressive purpose above the interests of the Korean nation and wire-pulling the south Korean ruling quarters behind scene to meet them.

The issue of Korea's reunification is an internal one of the Korean nation from A to Z and, therefore, it is responsible for its solution.

The stirring events in the June 15 era of reunification clearly proved that when the Korean people advance, holding high the banner of "By our nation itself", they can settle any problem arising in the north-south relations and certainly achieve the independent and peaceful reunification of the country.

The south Korean authorities are trying to provoke the DPRK in league with foreign forces, distrusting fellow countrymen working hard to hew out the independent destiny of the nation. This is a grave obstacle in the way of improving the north-south relations.

Priority to the nation, importance to it and its unity are an expression of the idea of "By our nation itself". Giving priority to their nation, not to foreign forces, attaching importance to their nation and achieving the unity of the whole nation should become the mode of thinking and fighting traits of the Korean nation for independent reunification.

The Koreans should never allow any interference of foreign forces in the efforts to improve the inter-Korean relations and achieve national reunification and their war moves for escalating the tensions on the Korean Peninsula.

No force on earth can arrest the patriotic struggle of the Koreans at home and abroad to improve the inter-Korean relations and achieve independent reunification, peace and prosperity without fail, holding high the banner of "By our nation itself".
