The statement recalled that the people enraged by the Intelligence Service's interference in the election took to streets across south Korea with candlelights in their hands.

The public broadcasting services, however, do not report about this at all but are intensifying the political offensive against the opposition parties, speaking for the "Saenuri Party," the statement charged, and went on:

It is a serious issue that those media persons who took issue with this attitude were fired. This is a shameless act of disregarding the people.

Those media which lend no ear to the voices of the people, oblivious of their mission, are bound to face a judgment, the statement warned.
