S. Korean Students Protest against Ruling Party

Pyongyang, August 9 (KCNA) -- A big group of south Korean marchers for reunification consisting of members of the Federation of University Students in the 21st Century staged an action in Kwangju on Tuesday in protest against the puppet ruling party obstructing the investigation into the case of the Intelligence Service's interference in the election. The marchers held a rally outside the Kwangju City Building of the "Saenuri Party". At the rally speakers termed the "Saenuri Party" the real chief culprit of the above-said case, adding that the present chief executive and Lee Myung Bak are responsible for the case. They queried whether the ruling party is set to lend an ear to the voices of the people demanding a proper investigation into the truth about the case. They called on the people to stage a candlelight action to protest against the "Saenuri Party" interrupting the state investigation into the case. The participants in the rally chanted slogan "Dissolve the Saenuri Party!" At the end of the rally its participants marched as far as Kumnam Route and conducted information activities in different parts of the city. Then the group staged a candlelight action at Kumnam Route condemning the IS's interference in the election. |
