Pyongyang, August 11 (KCNA) -- Members of south Korean organizations including the Memorial Commission for Martyr An Jung Gun held a press conference at the plaza of Kwanghwamun, Seoul on Thursday in protest against the puppet authorities for trying to cover up the crimes by pro-Japanese elements. They recalled that the Cultural Property Agency is mulling registering clothes and relics of those who earned an ill fame for their sycophancy toward Japan as sort of artifacts. Among them is a man who received even the title of baron in return for cooperating with the Japanese imperialists while serving the Imperial Japanese Army as an officer and took the lead in executing activists for independence during the Japanese imperialists' colonial rule over Korea, they said. The behavior of the authorities will result in concealing the crimes committed by the pro-Japanese elements as it is an insult to the activists for anti-Japanese independence, they warned. They cannot pardon the act of eulogizing pro-Japanese elements, they stressed. |
