Rodong Sinmun Monday says this in an article, and goes on:

The world where the popular masses' independent desire has fully become a reality is a world free from all sorts of domination and subjugation and a peaceful world without any aggression and war.

Aggression and war bring unspeakable misfortune, pain, destruction and plunder to people whereas peace guarantees their progress and development.

Peace, therefore, has become a common desire and the most universal ideal of the people of all countries aspiring after independent life and development.

The DPRK has made positive efforts to accomplish the cause of peace, the aspiration and desire common to humankind.

The Korean people have made persistent efforts to lead an independent and creative life in a peaceful environment as required by the present era which is ultra-modernized and highly civilized and where the ideal of humankind is coming true. All of them are waging a tenacious struggle in unity towards a rosy future.

The DPRK has advanced the most reasonable and constructive proposals for detente and peace on the Korean Peninsula and worked hard to implement them despite the escalated aggression and war moves of the imperialists. The DPRK has never made any concession in the struggle for peace but has positively protected peace.

Peaceful environment never comes of itself simply because people desire it.

It can be achieved only through a struggle. The world peace-loving people will surely accomplish the human cause of peace when they courageously turn out in actions, weathering difficulties and ordeals.
