Whoever is a Korean should not remain an onlooker to the trial faced by the cause of reunification. The grim situation urges all the compatriots in the north, south and overseas to determinedly turn out in the nation-wide sacred struggle to realize their long-cherished desire of national reunification.

National reconciliation and unity are a precondition which guarantees peace and reunification of the country.

If the Korean nation achieves reconciliation and unity, the road for independent reunification, peace and prosperity will be paved. But the confrontation between the north and the south will only bring distress and trouble and will entail a war in the end. Only the aggressive outside forces are desirous of the inter-Korean confrontation.

We can never leave the June 15 era of reunification when a great surge of reconciliation and unity prevailed just as a past memory.

The Koreans should always cover the road of national independence, the road of "By our nation itself". When all the Koreans turn out to activate reconciliation and unity, cooperation and exchange, it will bring peace and reunification earlier.
