August 15 this year is a significant day marking the 68th anniversary of the liberation of Korea from the Japan's military occupation by President Kim Il Sung.

Generalissimo Kim Il Sung led the great anti-Japanese war to a victory to achieve a historic cause of Korea's liberation with neither state backing nor assistance from a regular army.

The victory in the anti-Japanese armed struggle was a vivid example of the Songun revolution which proved that counterrevolutionary violence should be countered with revolutionary violence and only organized armed struggle can help defeat the imperialist aggressors and achieve the liberation and the independence of the country.

Today the DPRK lightens the future of the world revolutionary people as a beacon of the struggle for independence under the outstanding leadership of Marshal Kim Jong Un and victoriously advances while smashing all the moves of the imperialists to stifle it.
