Pyongyang, August 15 (KCNA) -- A movement for issuing declaration on the situation is mounting in south Korea in demand of the probe into the truth behind the illegal interference of the puppet Intelligence Service (IS) in elections. More than 110 professors of Kyunghee University held a press conference regarding the movement for issuing declaration on the situation at the university on August 12. Those who spoke at the conference said struggle against the IS's illegal acts has stretched into several months but Chongwadae and the ruling party are still hindering and hampering the investigation into the case. The investigation into the IS's illegal acts should not end just in form, they said, strongly calling for probe into the truth. In the declaration on the situation they demanded a probe into the truth behind the case, punishment of those responsible, reform of the IS and clarification of stand by the chief executive regarding the case and her promise to prevent the recurrence of similar incident. After the press conference the professors held a demonstration march on campus, shouting "Probe truth behind IS's interference in election" and "President should promise prevention of recurrence". The archdiocese of Catholicism declared that more than 250 believers including those in Andong parish will issue a declaration on the situation on August 14 denouncing the IS's illegal interference in the election. This will be the sixth one in the Catholicism following those in Masan, Kwangju, Inchon and Jonju parishes after its start by believers in Pusan parish. |
