S. Korean Media Slammed for Shutting Eyes to Injustice
Pyongyang, August 16 (KCNA) -- An article was posted on the south Korean internet paper Saram Ilbo on August 9 to accuse media of turning their faces away from the campaign of people from all social standings for publishing declarations on the situation in demand of the probe into the truth about the Intelligence Service's illegal acts.

Media persons published a declaration on the situation in protest against the IS's interference in the election in Seoul on August 8 but most of the media did not report about this, the article noted.

People of different social standings continue to issue declarations on the situation in various parts of south Korea denouncing the IS's illegal acts and protesting against the present regime's obstructions to the probe into the truth about the case, but media are shutting their eyes to this, the article said, adding this proves that the media are little different from those in the "yusin" period.

It is a serious social crime to keep mum about the issue being branded as an illegal act and a coup violating democracy, it charged.

There is no need to keep any longer media shutting their eyes to injustice, it warned.
