Students Will Take Lead in Paving Way for Reunification: S. Korean Organization

Pyongyang, August 16 (KCNA) -- The Youth and Students Headquarters of the South Side Committee for Implementing the June 15 Joint Declaration held a press conference in Seoul on August 13 at which it called upon the youth and students of the north and the south and abroad to bring earlier the reunification and co-prosperity of the nation.

At the press conference speakers said that the youth and students aspiring after peace and reunification of the nation can never allow acts of denying the June 15 joint declaration and the October 4 declaration.

They proposed called on youth and students of the south and the north and overseas to jointly hold a rally for realizing exchange in sports and academic field and denouncing Japan's moves for reviving militarism.

They declared the youth and students would take the lead in paving the way for reunification, looking back on the 68-year history of division.

They urged the authorities to positively ensure that the proposal for national reconciliation and cooperation is put into practice.
