Polish Organization Supports DPRK's Stand to Warm Inter-Korean Relations

Pyongyang, August 19 (KCNA) -- The Polish branch of the Korean Friendship Association posted articles titled "It is the Korean people's consistent stand to improve north-south relations" and "Korean people require peaceful environment" on its internet website on August 14 to mark the 68th anniversary of Korea's liberation. The articles said that the division of Korea and the north-south confrontation are the products of outside forces' policy of aggression. The historical lesson teaches that the north-south confrontation will bring continued division and war only, the articles said, and went on: Mending the north-south relations is a prerequisite to ensuring peace on the Korean Peninsula, uniform development and co-prosperity of the Korean people. The Korean people have maintained a consistent stand to improve the north-south relations and achieve peace and prosperity through dialogue and cooperation and striven hard to achieve the historic cause of national reunification by concerted efforts of the nation. Peace is the common desire of the world people for independent life and development and the greatest idea universally accepted. It is the desire of the Korean people to lead an independent and creative life in a peaceful environment. To this end, they put forward constructive proposals for detente and peace on the Korean Peninsula and made strenuous efforts for implementing them despite persistent provocations of the imperialists. |
